HANNIBAL - With large amounts of heavy, wet snow falling throughout much of northeast Missouri, MoDOT reminds drivers to slow down for conditions. Already, there have been several slide offs where snow has been accumulating. All MoDOT resources are out plowing and will continue to do so throughout the overnight hours. Should you have to travel, please allow extra time and pack extra items in the car in the event you are stranded or involved in backups due to incidents. Road conditions are updated every 15 minutes on MoDOT's traveler map at www.modot.org, and a map app is also available at that link. Current road conditions in MoDOT's Northeast District include:
Route H is closed in Marion and Ralls Counties.
I-70 EB is moving slowly due to multiple incidents at Mineola in Montgomery County.
Most roads are covered from U.S. 36 south on the east side of the state; those north of there that are not will soon be. If you have to go, drive slow. Always buckle up and put down the phone.
