MACON – The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission has awarded improvement projects for a resurfacing and ADA contract on routes in Pike and Audrain Counties.
Magruder Paving submitted the low bid $9,897,643 and was awarded the contract for improvements to 38.5 miles of roadway in the following areas:
- U.S. Route 54 resurfacing from 0.10 mile east of Pike County Route U near Curryville to Dougherty Pike in Louisiana
- U.S. Route 54 resurfacing from Missouri Route 19 north junction (Bassinger Corner) to 0.10 mile east of Route U near Curryville
- U.S. Route 54 sidewalk upgrades (ADA) in Vandalia and Curryville
- Audrain County Route F and Audrain County Route W sidewalk upgrades (ADA) in Vandalia
Work on each project will take place in 2019. When a start date is established, MoDOT will alert the public about the projects through signs, news releases and social media.
