Gov. Parson will visit priority bridge project in Joplin on Friday

JOPLIN – Gov. Mike Parson, who in his State of the State Address proposed a program to repair or replace 250 of the state’s poor bridges, will visit one of those sites on Friday.

Ed Hassinger, deputy director and chief engineer of the Missouri Department of Transportation, will accompany the governor. Along with local MoDOT officials, they’ll get a first-hand look at the deteriorating structure, after which Parson will address the media and others in attendance.

WHEN:           Friday, Feb. 1, 2019

TIME:            9:45 a.m. – tour of bridge         10 a.m. – Parson addresses the media

WHERE:        Rangeline Road bridge over the Kansas City Southern Railroad, just north of Interstate 44 (access off 29th street in parking lot of the former Pacific Rim restaurant)
