SIKESTON – The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded contracts for Southeast District projects during its regular meeting on Feb. 7. Awarded contracts include pavement improvements, scour repairs, and bridge replacements.
Contracts include the following:
- A $847,654 contract was awarded to Apex Paving Co., for resurfacing on Route 74 from Route 25 to I-55 in Cape Girardeau County;
- A $638,480 contract was awarded to Above and Below Contracting, LLC., for bridge scour repairs on:
- Route 17 over Little Creek in Howell County;
- Route W over Eleven Point River in Howell County;
- Route KK over Spring Creek in Howell County;
- Route ZZ over Howell Creek in Howell County;
- Route 14 over Fox Creek in Douglas County;
- Route 160 over Eleven Point River in Oregon County
- Route 160 over North Fork River in Ozark County;
- Route 106 over Current River in Shannon County;
- Route 99 over Spring Creek in Shannon County;
- Route 63 over Big Piney River in Texas County, and;
- Route 32 over Big Piney River in Texas County.
- A $1,400,015 contract was awarded to Robertson Contractors, Inc., for bridge replacements including:
- Route P over Saint Johns Diversion Ditch in New Madrid County;
- Route D over Drainage Ditch No. 32 in Mississippi County, and;
- Route P over Maple Slough Ditch in New Madrid County.
- A $758,422 contract was awarded to Robertson Contractors, Inc., for bridge replacements on the following routes:
- Route N over Honey Cypress Ditch in Dunklin County, and;
- Route O over Snipe Slough Ditch in Dunklin County.
- A $2,410,890 contract was awarded to Apex Paving Co., for pavement improvements on the following routes:
- Business 60 from Route AD to Route 25 in Stoddard County;
- Route Y from 2.3 miles east of Route 25 in Stoddard County to Route 61 in Scott County, and;
- Route AA from Route 25 North to Route 25 South in Stoddard County.
- A $846,136 contract was awarded to Robertson Contractors, Inc., for bridge replacements on the following routes:
- Route U over St. John’s Ditch in Scott County, and;
- Route O located 2.6 miles north of Route 62 in Scott County.
- A $489,004 contract was awarded to Kinder Brothers Excavating, Inc., for bridge scour repairs on:
- Route E over Big River in St. Francois County;
- Route OO over Upper Whitewater Creek in Cape Girardeau County;
- Route WW over the East Bayou in New Madrid County;
- Route B over Logan Creek in Reynolds County;
- Route 60 over Saint Francis River in Butler and Stoddard counties, and;
- Route 160 over Current River in Ripley County.
Additional information, regarding timelines and impacts to traffic, will be released prior to the start of construction.
Work zones will be marked with signs as work is underway. Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling in these areas and plan for possible delays. MoDOT will alert drivers prior to any changes in traffic.
