St. Louis – Once again, MoDOT maintenance crews are preparing for a snowstorm forecasted to move into the St. Louis region tomorrow during evening rush hour.
National Weather Service is predicting snow to move into the area tomorrow starting around 4 p.m. and tapering off around 6 a.m. Wednesday. The forecast shows that the heaviest bands of snow will fall during evening rush hour, between 4 – 6 p.m.
“We have another snowstorm scheduled to move into our region again around rush hour where the traffic volumes are high. If possible, please adjust travel times during evening rush hour. This will be safer for motorists as well as give our trucks more space to clear the roads during this storm,” said District Maintenance Engineer Bob Becker.
MoDOT crews will be fully staffed by noon tomorrow with more than 200 plow trucks ready to plow snow and/or treat the roads throughout the duration of this snowstorm.
Motorists are encouraged to pay close attention to weather conditions before traveling. For real-time roadway weather conditions, visit our Traveler Information Map at http://traveler.modot.org/map.
