Pedestrians/Drivers Urged to Use Caution at Damaged Crossing on N. Glenstone Ave. in Springfield
What: Pedestrian signals at crosswalk on north Glenstone Avenue north of Kearney Street damaged and not fully operational
When: Now until crossing signals can be replaced
Details: The median signals were knocked down during a crash over the weekend. MoDOT crews have ordered new parts, but do not have a timeline for repairs.
Impacts:
- Pedestrians are urged to use extreme caution when using the crossing
- Drivers are urged to slow down and watch for pedestrians in the crossing
- Due to the damage, the signals in the median are not functioning when a pedestrian is in the crossing
- The signals on either side of Glenstone Avenue are still operational
(Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule)
