JACKSON/CLAY COUNTIES – The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the left northbound lane of I-435 between Front St. and Route 210 from 9 a.m. until noon, Friday, Feb. 22 to reset and repair a temporary median barrier wall. The wall was struck by a motorist. Work will take place on the outer edge of a work zone where crews are building a new diverging diamond interchange at I-435 and Route 210. All work is weather dependent.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
