Improvements Approved for Crawford and Gasconade County Roads

At its regular meeting today in Jefferson City, the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission approved a contract to microsurface three roadways in Crawford, Gasconade and Iron counties. Microsurfacing Contractors was awarded a contract to microsurface the following roads:

  • Route 19 between the Crawford-Gasconade county line and Route 49 in Crawford County.
  • Route 49 between Route 19 in Crawford County and Route 32 in Iron County.
  • Route ZZ between Springfield Street and Route 19 in Crawford County.

The company submitted the low bid of $5,217,385 for the nearly 50 mile project. The project is scheduled to take place this summer.  When a start date is established, MoDOT will alert the public about the project through signs, news releases and social media.
