MoDOT Begins Paving Operation on I-70 Through Lafayette County on Monday
LAFAYETTE Co. – The Missouri Department of Transportation has scheduled a paving operation along I-70 through Lafayette County from Johnson Drive in Odessa to Route 13 that begins next week.
Starting Monday, crews will begin concrete pavement repair and will have intermittent lane closures. The work will be performed during daytime hours with restrictions for peak traffic times. Eastbound paving is restricted to 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and westbound is restricted to 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. This project is scheduled to be complete November 1, 2019.
These operations could impact I-70 traffic. Review MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for details at http://traveler.modot.org.
The Missouri Department of Transportation urges all motorists to always wear safety belts, follow posted speed limits and be alert for slowed traffic, narrowed lanes or a reduced number of lanes during construction and maintenance work. And remember, every work zone is a NO PHONE ZONE.
