Chester Bross Construction is set to begin preparations this week for the resurfacing contract on U.S. Route 36 in Marion County. The contract was awarded last fall for three projects in the amount of $5,498,037 at the following locations:
- Interstate 72, resurfacing and diamond grinding from U.S. Route 61 to Mississippi River.
- U.S. Route 36, eastbound lane, resurfacing from west of Monroe City to east of Route H.
- U.S. Route 36, eastbound lane, resurfacing from 1.8 miles east of U.S. Route 24/61 to U.S. Route 61.
Weather permitting, work will begin with pavement repairs in the eastbound lane from just east of U.S. Route 24/61 to U.S. Route 61. Work on the project is scheduled to run through November 1, 2019.
