Westbound I-44 On Ramp from Main Street in Joplin (Exit 6) CLOSED Until August 1
Where: Ramp from Main Street (Missouri Route 43) to westbound I-44 in Joplin
When: ‘Round the clock beginning 6 a.m., Monday, March 25 until August 1
What: Ramp CLOSED due to safety concerns in bridge rehabilitation project work zone at Shoal Creek.
Traffic Impacts:
- One westbound lane is closed at Mile Marker 6 while contractor crews rehabilitate bridge over Shoal Creek
- Drivers are urged to seek alternate routes to avoid the construction and possible traffic delays
- Once the both lanes of the westbound bridge are completed, contractor crews will move to the eastbound bridge, August 1
- Motorists can expect significant traffic delays and a reduced speed limit of 60 mph through the work zone
Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
