Third Fork Platte River Bridge on US Route 169 near Union Star set to be replaced

US Route 169 will close at the bridge during construction

UNION STAR, Mo. – Located just east of Union Star on U.S. Route 169, the Third Fork Platte River Bridge has served motorists since 1931. A replacement project to bring the DeKalb County bridge up to current standards will be led by contractors from Boone Construction, Co., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation. Crews plan to close the bridge to all traffic on Monday, April 1, 2019. The contractor plans to reopen the bridge in July.
