St. Louis Work Zones for March 28-April 3

ST. LOUIS Drivers traveling around the region this weekend should be aware of some long-term closures on bridges and roadways.

In southwest St. Louis County, the Maritz Overpass Street bridge over I-44 will close after 9 a.m., Friday, March 30, to start repairs to the bridge needed after the bridge was struck by an oversized vehicle last year. In addition, the bridge will be closed to pedestrians, for safety, during the construction.

In north St. Louis County, the left lane on both eastbound and westbound I-70 will be closed around the clock starting at 7 p.m. Friday, March 30, between Jennings Station Road and Lucas - Hunt. Crews should reopen the lanes by 5 a.m. Monday, April 1.

Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

  • I-44, St. Louis, two westbound lanes closed from Grand to Macklind through December.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, one westbound lane closed from Macklind to Arsenal through December.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, two westbound lanes closed from Arsenal to Murdoch through December.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, one eastbound lane closed from Murdoch to the River Des Peres through December.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, one eastbound lane closed from Hampton to Grand through December
  • I-44, St. Louis City, the ramp from Shrewsbury to eastbound I-44 is closed through December.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, the ramp from Grand to westbound I-44 is closed through June.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, the ramp from Vandeventer to westbound I-44 is closed through December.
  • I-64, St. Louis City, the ramp from Broadway to westbound will be closed for two weeks. It will reopen before opening day.
  • I-44, St. Louis County, one lane closed westbound between I-270 and Bowles through late 2021.
  • I-44, St. Louis County, starting Friday, the Maritz Overpass St. Bridge closes over the interstate for a month.
  • I-64, St. Louis County, one lane on the ramp from Hanley to eastbound I-64 is closed through late March 2019.
  • Route ZZ, Franklin County, the bridge at Boeuf Creek is closed until mid-August.

  • Route 47, Franklin County, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane closed at the Washington Bridge over the Missouri. Flaggers will direct traffic through the closure.
  • Route C, Franklin County, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., various sections closed between Route 100 and Route 50.
  • Route VV, Franklin County, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., one lane closed between Route 100 and Route E. A pilot car will guide traffic through the construction.
