What is MoDOT doing at project?
Crews for the Missouri Department of Transportation will be installing a new Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) at the intersection of N. Platte Purchase Drive and US Route 152.
Why is MoDOT doing this project?
The decision to install a DDI at this intersection was based upon a conceptual study provided by the city. Additional factors included the increased development in the area and due to the high volume of left turns at the intersection.
How will this project benefit me?
DDI traffic configurations work well in areas of heavy traffic. The biggest benefit of installing a DDI at this intersection is that it will allow motorists to make left turns without crossing in front of oncoming traffic. This traffic configuration provides a safer traffic flow.
What impact will this project have on traffic?
N. Platte Purchase Dr. will be closed between 88th St. and NW Tiffany Springs Rd. In addition, crews will close all MO Route 152 ramps.
