WHAT IS THIS PROJECT?

This project was completed in January 2021.

MoDOT and the City of Blue Springs have formed a partnership to install traffic signals, pedestrian signals, sidewalks, and turn lanes at the intersection of MO Route 7 at South Ave. in Blue Springs, MO.

HOW WILL THIS PROJECT BENEFIT ME?

The traffic signals will give vehicles an opportunity to safely cross MO 7 or to turn to  South Ave.  The sidewalks on the east side of MO 7 will be connected from South Street to US 40.

 

WHAT IMPACTS WILL THIS HAVE ON TRAFFIC?

Construction will require vehicles on northbound and southbound MO 7 to stop for vehicles entering from South Ave.

 

WHAT IS THE TIMELINE FOR THIS PROJECT?

This project was let in May 2020 and completed in January 2021.

 

HOW IS THIS BEING FUNDED?

The estimated construction cost of this project is $650,000.  $410,000 of this will be CMAQ funds, $102,500 the City of Blue Springs will fund and the remainder will be funded by MoDOT.
