Project Summary

What is the current situation?

The purpose of this project is to improve the roadway on the major highways including Route N and Route 21. The project will include pavement resurfacing, upgrading pedestrian facilities to comply with the ADA Transition Plan, and upgrading guardrail and replace signage from Rte. B to north of the Big River and on Rte. N from Route 21 to Donnelly Street.

What is duration of this project? 

The project is estimated to be completed by Fall 2026. 

Is MoDOT purchasing property from landowners?

Yes, there will a small number of easements purchased on Route N in DeSoto to bring up the pedestrian facilities to current standard of ADA standards. MoDOT will be contacting those property owners. 

What are the anticipated traffic impacts?

Details pertaining to construction will be sent out closer to the project award date.
