About this Project

MoDOT will be replacing two bridges in Pettis County including the MO Route 52 bridge over South Flat Creek and the MO Route 127 bridge over Basin Fork Creek. Both bridges are nearing the end of their lives.

South Flat Creek: The bridge is over 90 years old and has around 2,300 vehicles drive over per day. The project is 0.1 mile east of Bennet Road and 1 mile west of Route E.

Basin Fork Creek: The bridge is over 80 years old and has around 1,200 vehicles driver over per day. The project is 0.6 mile south of Dove Road and 0.7 mile north of Chaney Road.

MoDOT plans to begin construction for both bridges in the spring of 2023 and activities are anticipated to be completed by the end of 2023.

Traffic Implications

During construction, the bridges will be closed but they will not be closed at the same time so that traffic can use the other route as a detour.  Sign up for E-Updates and Text Alerts at the top of our webpage. You can get construction and closure information straight to your phone.
