Project Progress

The estimated cost for these improvements, including construction and engineering, is $796,000. This cost is subject to change.
The project has been awarded by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission at their October meeting to Hardy Construction, LLC for the amount of $365,616.50. The contractor was be given a notice to proceed of Oct. 16, 2024. That is the earliest date the contractor may begin work.
Construction is planned to begin in October and must be complete within 25 calendar days. One lane of I-70 will be temporarily closed during construction. Access to Routes O and J at the bridge will be closed for the duration of the construction and a detour will be signed. The detour for Route O will direct traffic to the Route BB exit (Exit 115). The Route J detour will use the exit at U.S. Route 40 (Exit 121).
