The Missouri Department of transportation is working with consultants from HNTB to design a new bridge over Grantham Creek on Gentry County Route B.
The project was part of MoDOT's November 2021 bid letting. At that time, contractors submitted competitive bids on the project.
The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded the construction contract to Widel, Inc. during their December 2021 meeting.
By contract, Jan. 1, 2022 is the earliest the contractor may begin construction.
The contractor closed Route B to all traffic and began construction on May 2, 2022.
By contract, the contractor must have all construction complete by Dec. 1, 2022 without incurring potential penalties.
The contractor's planned construction schedule shows the roadway reopening in late July 2022. As of 5/26/2022, the contractor is on schedule to meet that completion schedule.
