Work is scheduled to begin at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10 and is expected to be completed in December 2019. The bridge will be closed to traffic while work takes place. Message boards are up in the area to inform drivers of the bridge closure. Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes around the construction.
When will the project start?
The bridge over the Bourbeuse River on Missouri Route T, approximately 1.5 miles south of Route V near Owensville, is being replaced, starting Wednesday, July 10. The work is expected to be complete by December, 2019.
Why is this work necessary?
The existing Bourbeuse River Bridge was built in 1958 and is sixty-one years old. The condition of the bridge has reached a point where a bridge replacement is necessary.
How will traffic be affected?
During construction Route T will be closed at the bridge location for up to four and a half months. Signs will alert motorists of the closed road and a detour will be signed during construction. You can find a detour map here. Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes around the construction.
Will additional right of way be needed to construct these projects?
Temporary construction easements will be required for the construction of the bridge.
