National Human Trafficking Hotline:  call 1-888-373-7888 or text BeFree (233733)

Human trafficking is a modern-day form of slavery. At its core, it involves the exchanges of goods for services using force, fraud or coercion. Victims are forced into labor or commercial sexual exploitation.

Human trafficking is real and it is a crime.

MoDOT has joined with other state DOTs and the U.S. Department of Transportation to help fight human trafficking.

As part of the Transportation Leaders Against Human Trafficking (TLAHT), MoDOT has signed a pledge to help combat human trafficking by raising public awareness of the issue and by educating employees on how to recognize and report the signs of human trafficking.

Truckers Against Trafficking

Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) is a 501(c)3 that exists to educate, equip, empower and mobilize members of the trucking industry to combat human trafficking. TAT recognized that members of the trucking industry and individual truckers are invaluable in the fight against this heinous crime. As the eyes and ears of our nation’s highways, truckers are in a unique position to make a difference and close loopholes to traffickers who seek to exploit our transportation system for their personal gain. TAT's work then expanded beyond the trucking industry to include the bus and energy industries, as well as law enforcement and government agencies.

TAT's Training Library contains videos, training materials, wallet cards, window decals, posters, brochures, sample policies and other valuable resources.  Please note - some videos contain sensitive subject matter and language some might find offensive. Always preview any videos that might be shown to an audience to determine appropriateness and provide advance warning about content.
