The Dorsett Rd./Midland Ave. Bridge over Lindbergh is more than 45 years old and is in deteriorating condition. The original bridge was built in 1970 when speeds and traffic demands were much lower. Due to the existing condition of the bridge, it needs to be replaced.
What will this mean?
This past spring into summer, MoDOT has completed a project to replace the Dorsett Rd./Midland Ave. Bridge over Lindbergh. To do this safely and quickly, MoDOT closed the existing bridge while building the new one.
When will construction begin?
Construction began this past spring. The anticipated bridge closed on May 28 and re-opened mid-September 2019.
