What is this project?

The project consists of resurfacing, guardrail,  ADA upgrades, and replacing crossroad pipes on U.S. Route 50 from West Outer Independence Road to Missouri Route 47. Raised shoulders will be converted into sidewalks with curb ramps being upgraded for ADA compliance. In addition, drainage upgrades will be done and existing traffic signals within the project limits will be upgraded. The cost of the project is $6.94 million.

What are the anticipated impacts?

Lane closures will be done in order to complete resurfacing. MoDOT will work with business owners and residents to ensure that access is available during construction. For Right of Way, only Temporary Construction Easements (TCE) are anticipated in order to rebuild some entrances.  No permanent acquisitions are expected for this project.
