Gasconade River Bridge Rehabilitations

Below are details, resources and news about the rehabilitations of the U.S. Route 50 bridge over the Gasconade River, in Mount Sterling, and the U.S. Route 63 bridge over the Gasconade River, south of Vienna. 

The Maries County U.S. Route 63 bridge over the Gasconade River is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state. Check out the Focus on Bridges page for more information about the program. 

Project Details

When: The project is currently underway.

Cost: $1,413,242

Work Taking Place: This project will rehabilitate the U.S. Route 50 bridge over the Gasconade River, in Mount Sterling, and the U.S. Route 63 bridge over the Gasconade River, south of Vienna. Both bridges have reached a place where rehabilitation is necessary to extend their lifespans. 

Traffic Impact: Work is scheduled to take place this year. A start date for work on each bridge has not yet been established. MoDOT will alert the public with updates through signs, news releases and social media. When work begins, occasional lane closures are likely at both locations.
