Cole County - U.S. Route 54/Hickory Hill/Penny Hollow Intersection Improvements
The project is expected to take place in 2023.
The estimated project cost is $2.923 million.
Work Taking Place:
The project primarily includes the installation of J-Turn intersections at the Penny Hollow and Hickory Hill intersections on U.S. Route 54.
Why is This Work Taking Place?
Due to crash frequency and severity, the intersections at Hickory Hill and Penny Hollow were identified as the next highest priority following the initial round of improvements which is currently being constructed in Miller County.
The work will require lane closures on U.S. Route 54 at various times throughout the project. MoDOT will alert the public of lane and road closures with updates through signs, news releases and social media.
