About this Project
The project includes pavement reconstruction of Bannister Road (MO W) from State Line Road to Holmes Road and pavement resurfacing from Holmes Road to I-435.
The pavement between Holmes and Stateline Road has reached the end of its service life and needs to be fully replaced.
Between Holmes Road and I-435, a 4-inch mill and fill is planned to restore the pavement riding surface.

TIMELINE
Construction activities are expected to start in the spring of 2027 and last up to 2 years.
TRAFFIC IMPACTS
Several phases of traffic control will be required to complete the pavement reconstruction, particularly at busy intersections.
The existing Bannister Road (MO W) consists of 2-lanes of travel in each direction. Reconstruction will require:
- Reducing traffic to one lane in each direction and shifting traffic to allow for pavement reconstruction from Stateline Road to Holmes Road.
- Various lane closures from Holmes Road to I-435 for pavement resurfacing.
PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT
A public meeting will be held summer 2026 to review the project scope, proposed traffic control, anticipated construction schedule, and receive public feedback.
