ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Transportation is designing a project to upgrade sidewalks in Green City in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Improvements will take place along MO Route 129 from Route YY to Pfeiffer Street. A portion of this project is also located along Route N, from Grant Street to the intersection of Lincoln Street/Route 129. MoDOT will host a public meeting for property owners and community members to learn about the project and provide feedback.
A public open-house meeting will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at City Hall (4 S. Green St., Green City, MO 63545). Attendees are welcome to visit any time between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to view project plans and speak with project leaders. No formal presentation will be made.
Affected property owners have been contacted by MoDOT’s Right of Way staff to schedule a meeting between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to discuss temporary easement needs for the project.
Walk-ins are also welcome. Property owners must bring a valid driver’s license.
If you are unable to attend the public meeting, two other opportunities for public comment are available through Tuesday, Dec. 30.
