Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission to Meet in Poplar Bluff

Aug. 7 at 9 a.m.

SIKESTON—The monthly meeting of the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission will be held Wednesday, Aug. 7 at Three Rivers Community College in the Tinnin Fine Arts Center Theatre, located at 2080 Three Rivers Blvd. in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. and is open to the public and media.

The Commission is a six-member bipartisan board that governs the Missouri Department of Transportation. Members are appointed for a six-year term by the governor and are confirmed by the Missouri Senate.

Public presentations will include:

  • U.S. Route 67 and The Ozark Foothills Regional Planning Commissionpresented by Matt Winters, Poplar Bluff City Manager; Alan Lutes, Ozark Foothills Regional Planning Commission Executive Director; and Bill Robison, Chairman of the Highway 67 Corporation
  • The Bootheel Regional Planning Commission: presented by The Honorable Mark Preyer, Associate Circuit Judge for the 35th Judicial Circuit Court (Retired); State Representative Donnie Brown, New Madrid County Engineer; Jonathan Douglass, Sikeston City Manager; and David Wyman, Dexter City Administrator

An update from MoDOT’s Southeast District will also be delivered by District Engineer Mark Croarkin.
