Frequently Asked Questions
How much does the project cost?
Approximately $8-10 million
What are the anticipated impacts?
Construction details have not been finalized at this time. MoDOT will work with residents and business owners to ensure access is available during construction.
Will the road be closed during construction?
Most construction activities will take place on new alignment away from Route 22. Short-term closures may be necessary to tie Route 22 and Route 151 into the new roadway. More information regarding traffic impacts will be shared through news releases and social media for each stage of construction as details become available.
Will MoDOT need to acquire any right of way?
Yes. In 2025, MoDOT's Right of Way staff and consultants will begin the process of contacting property owners for any necessary right of way needed for the project. Right of way discussions are anticipated to continue through 2026.
