
A cost-share partnership was established between the City of Lee’s Summit and MoDOT in 2004 to implement design and construction of improvements for the I-470/US 50/MO 350 Interchange.

This initiative encompasses two projects to improve Route 13 south of Lexington and around Warrensburg.

The interstate connections project will upgrade Interstate 29/35 to six lanes from just north of the Route 210/ Armour Road interchange to Independence Avenue.

In October 2008, MoDOT conducted a public meeting to request feedback on how the Vivion Road (US 69) corridor could change and grow in the future. |

MoDOT plans to widen an 8-mile section of Missouri Route 150 from Route 71 to Route 291 from the existing two lanes to four lanes.

MoDOT completed a Location Study Report identifying a need to improve the Route 45 corridor in Platte County.

The Chouteau Bridge will be reconfigured to provide a multiuse path for bicycles and pedestrians.

The corridor between the ramps at the I-70 and Woods Chapel interchange has experienced large amounts of growth, which in turn has created the need to improve the interchange. |

The I-435 and I-70 interchange will be improved to reduce bottlenecks and improve both capacity and access.

Transportation improvements at Botts Road and Route 150 will ensure safety, access and traffic flow in this area.

The conventional diamond interchange at I-435 and Front Street has been redesigned and will be reconstructed as a Diverging Diamond Interchange.

The Statewide Transportation Improvement Program lists the specific construction projects MoDOT will undertake in the next five years. |

Safe & Sound is a multi-faceted program that will improve more than 800 of Missouri’s worst bridges.

Projects along 71 include Route 71 Interchange at Route 150, Route 71 at 163rd Street and Route 71 at North Cass Parkway.

The Heart of America Bridge will be reconfigured to provide a multiuse path for bicycles and pedestrians.
