The Missouri Department of Transportation's Kansas City District has determined that Harsco Minerals controls the distribution of Coal Slag Materials (Cinders) that are a by-product of electrical generation activities at both Thomas Hill and La Cygne Power Plant(s).  These materials come in two forms:  clean/washed cinders and dirty cinders.  MoDOT will use materials from this supplier, as needed during the contract period for various projects.

The Missouri Department of Transportation's Kansas City District has determined that Key Equipment, to our knowledge, Kansas City District, is the only regional authorized distributor for warranty repairs and parts.  The Kansas City District requires the repair and refurbishment of the road rake.  The estimated cost for replacing and repairing the road rake from vandalism and replacing the tines from normal wear and tear is $4,822.17.  The estimated cost  for purchasing the tines that need replaced is $3,105.72.  There may be additional services or parts required throughout the term of this posting.
