Maintenance Workers

Be at least 18 years old, H.S. diploma/GED, valid driver's license, and passing grade on the written CDL exam. Successfully complete background check, drug screening, work simulation, and physical.

College Employment Training Program

The Missouri Department of Transportation is seeking highly motivated students to fill College Employment Training (CET) positions. MoDOT’s CET Program gives students the chance to use current classroom knowledge and gain hands-on experience in their field of study in a professional workplace.

Professional Development

MoDOT is dedicated to providing their employees with the training, tools, and resources to help them be successful during their career. There are opportunities available for everyone! From cross-training, formal week-long trainings or from over 2,000 online courses, employees are able to learn and grow specific to their role at MoDOT.

Leadership Programs

MoDOT offers several programs for potential and current supervisors that focus on communication, leadership and managing for results. These programs range from three days to two years in length to maximize the knowledge and skills retained.

Cross Training Opportunities

MoDOT encourages its employees to explore other districts, divisions or job titles that may interest them! This may be done through informal job shadowing or one of our structured cross training programs.

Individual Growth Opportunities

MoDOT supports all of their employees to partake in individual growth opportunities. There are several in-house options employees can choose from. They are also encouraged to speak with their supervisors if any external trainings interest them!

MoDOT Employee Enrichment Zone (MEE Zone)

MEE Zone is a work/life balance program focused on employees’ holistic health. It provides total work/life support and links employees to a variety of tools and resources to help them balance their personal and professional lives. Speakers are brought in monthly to discuss specific wellness or work/life balance topics employees are interested in.
