- A public hearing was held on Thursday, February 1. All information that will be presented at the hearing is posted below.

What is being done on Route 21?
A southbound left turn lane will be added on Route 21 at three locations. This will be done by widening existing Route 21 and replacing the existing shoulders. All entrances along the widened area will be reconstructed and the road will be resurfaced and restriped. In addition, guardrail will be added on southbound Route 21 at Hilltop/MacKenzie Ridge and northbound at Lowry Lane.

Why is this work being done?
The addition of a left turn lane is expected to improve safety and reduce the number of crashes, as well as help overall traffic flow on Route 21.
How will traffic be impacted during construction?
Traffic will be shifted several times during construction which will allow one lane of Route 21 to remain open at all times. Flaggers will be on hand to direct traffic when there is only one lane open. The majority of work will be done during off-peak times.
