Vegetation Permit

A vegetation permit is required prior to trimming or cutting any vegetation on state right of way. A vegetation permit application will need to be completed and submitted to the appropriate area office.  The application has been updated and beginning March 1, 2015, we will only accept applications on the new form with the revision date of 01/2015.    The cost of a permit for trimming and cutting is determined by the vegetation to be removed.  Permits will only allow the cutting of vegetation necessary to clear the sign's visibility zone as determined by the permit inspector and the applicant at the time the permit is issued. Accessing the vegetation from state right of way is strictly prohibited.

Area Changes

Outdoor Advertising areas have been realigned. Please contact the specialist in your area regarding outdoor advertising and junkyard regulations.

The Outdoor Advertising staff have measured and located the Global Positioning System (GPS) coordinates of all permitted signs. The information was transferred into our inventory database.
