Project Summary

MoDOT is implementing a project to address aging pavement and traffic signals, the lack of connectivity for pedestrians and all modes of transportation, and drainage improvements on Page Avenue (Route D) from I-170 to east of Pennsylvania Ave.   The sidewalks no longer meet the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements and need to be replaced.

What improvements will be made?

The project will include:

  • Pavement resurfacing and new pavement markings.
  • Upgraded sidewalks to meet ADA requirements.
  • Additional sidewalks along the corridor to accommodate pedestrians.
  • Upgraded traffic signals at intersections to meet ADA standards from I-170 to Midland.
  • Drainage system improvements

What will be the impact to traffic?

MoDOT will make every reasonable effort to reduce delays due to construction.  Customers using the route can anticipate daily lane closures and some night operations.

How much will the project cost?

This project is anticipated to cost $11 million.
