Vegetation Application

A vegetation permit is required prior to cutting or trimming any vegetation in front of any lawful Outdoor Advertising sign. The vegetation application has been updated and beginning January 1, 2020, we will only accept applications on the new form with the revision date 10/2019.

Outdoor Advertising Moratorium

When an Application for Permit to Erect and/or Maintain Outdoor Advertising is received, MoDOT reviews the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) for projects with right of way funding and applies the moratorium in accordance with Section 226.541, RSMo and 7 CSR 10-6.040(6).

The STIP, which is prepared annually and approved by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission, sets forth the specific construction projects MoDOT will undertake over the next five years which encompasses all types of transportation projects covering highways and bridges, transit, aviation, rail, waterways, bicycle, pedestrian, and operations and maintenance projects.

The 2020-2024 approved STIP is now available on our website and includes an interactive map of projects. STIP
