SIKESTON-The Missouri Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 29 to discuss upcoming improvements to the Route V bridge over Big Indian Creek in Cape Girardeau County. The meeting will be held at North Elementary, located at 10730 Route W in Jackson.
The meeting will have an open-house format, so visitors can stop by to talk one-on-one with a member of the project team anytime between 4 and 6 p.m. No formal presentation will be given.
The project will include replacing the deck of the Route V bridge. The bridge is located approximately 0.5 miles south of Route 177.
Work is anticipated to begin in spring 2013, with completion in fall 2013, weather permitting. As construction is underway, the roadway will remain closed.
