No MOre Trash Bash!

The No MOre Trash! Bash is an annual outreach of MoDOT’s year-round litter control efforts. It has been held every spring since 2004 except for 2020 when COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the event out of safety concerns. Additional COVID-19 restrictions limited the use of nearly 240 work release prisoners and required social distancing for field operations engaged in litter control performed by MoDOT staff. These factors have contributed to a marked increase in trash along Missouri’s highways. Volunteers in the Show-Me State provide a vital service that saves about $1 million a year in litter cleanup. Every section served by volunteers allows MoDOT to devote resources to other much-needed tasks.

Here's your chance to do your part! During the month of April, volunteers are encouraged to join in the Missouri Department of Transportation’s No MOre Trash! Bash. MoDOT provides trash bags and brightly colored vests for individuals and teams who want to pitch in and pick up trash on the state’s highways.

If you’d like to do your part to beautify Missouri roads, call 1-888-275-6636 or fill out the form below. You’ll be directed to a maintenance representative who will help you schedule a time and place for trash pickup.
