The Employee Advisory Council was established to foster and enhance a positive and supportive work environment among the department employees by assisting management with cultural diversity, policy review and communication issues.
The EAC is committed to being a voice for employees and also sharing the experiences and outstanding achievements of employees. The EAC has created a " Spotlight" that routinely shares these accomplishments of employees to the internal workforce.
The EAC has processed over 1300 concerns for employees which is the process of asking our leaders questions on a format designed to promote honesty and accountability on various topics that continue to provide clarity on policy updates, organization changes and general concerns. The EAC in the last couple of years has done work in reviewing policy and providing feedback to the appropriate authority. A few of the past items reviewed were the 3-2-1 Cone detail, cell phone usage, tobacco usage, and the duration of breaks for all employees.
The EAC has had positive interactions with the community in past State Fairs and internally participated in the innovations annual conference called Domino. The EAC has contributed throughout its history to assist in providing tribute to fallen employees.
