MoDOT holds Public Meeting on I-270 North Corridor Study on Tuesday, May 22
ST. LOUIS - The Missouri Department of Transportation held a public meeting on Tuesday, May 22, to discuss future traffic and safety improvement options on a 10-mile stretch of Interstate 270 in North St. Louis County. Information from that meeting is still available on a virtual public meeting here. The virtual meeting will remain active until June 5.
The meeting marks the end of a year-long study process that included public discussions focusing on the segment of I-270 from McDonnell Boulevard to Route 367. The open house style public meeting will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., in the Student Center Multipurpose Room at St. Louis Community College-Florissant Valley, 3400 Pershall Road, St. Louis, MO 63135.
Findings from the study helped MoDOT along with a community advisory group of about 30 North County citizens, businesspersons and public officials, explore solutions to problems such as traffic congestion on I-270 and safety concerns at ramp crossovers on Dunn Road.
I-70 Blanchette Bridge Construction Public Meetings May 24 & 30
ST CHARLES - The $63 million rehabilitation of the westbound Interstate 70 Missouri River Bridge (Blanchette Bridge) will close and detour traffic starting November 2012. Additionally overnight and weekend closures will happen this summer at the Earth City Expressway interchange and at the bridge. MoDOT and Walsh Construction Company will host two public meetings to share these details and highlight alternate routes to help I-70 drivers get around.
Two public meetings are scheduled - one in St. Charles and one in Maryland Heights. Both meetings will have the same information and the information will be available online. The St. Charles meeting will be Thursday, May 24 from 4-7 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Fellowship Hall, 115 S. Sixth Street. The Maryland Heights meeting will be Wednesday, May 30 from 4-7 p.m. at Maryland Heights Government Center in the Court Room, 11911 Dorsett Road.

MoDOT to hold public meeting on Park over the Highway alternatives
ST. LOUIS – The Missouri Department of Transportation held an open-house style public meeting to allow the public to discuss MoDOT’s portion of the CityArchRiver 2015 project.
The public meeting was scheduled April 10, between 3 and 5 p.m. in the St. Louis City Hall Board of Aldermen boardroom (on the second floor), 1200 Market Street, St. Louis, Missouri, 63103.
During the meeting, MoDOT engineers discussed several proposed alternatives for the Park over the Highway portion of the CAR2015 project, to include what the department believes is the preferred alternative. Engineers will also be able to discuss potential impacts of each alternative.
The public to provided input, and comments, either directly to the engineers or in written comments, on the alternatives presented. This meeting was part of the process to complete necessary Federal requirements for the project.
