St. Louis Work Zones for April 6-12

ST. LOUIS – Drivers can expect several significant lane and ramp closures over the next week in the greater St. Louis area. All work is weather permitting.

Crews will close the ramp from northbound I-55/westbound I-44 to the eastbound Poplar Street Bridge on several nights this week. On Thursday, April 6; Sunday, April 9; and Monday, April 10 crews will close the ramp to the eastbound PSB at 7 p.m. and will reopen the ramp by 6 a.m. the following morning.

Starting Monday, April 10, crews will close up to three lanes overnight on I-270 between I-44 and Dougherty Ferry for bridge work.

Crews will close two lanes at 8 p.m., and a third lane at 10 p.m. on the interstate. Crews will also close one lane on Big Bend over I-270 at 8 p.m. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning.

In addition, crews will completely close all the ramps between I-70 and Route 141 at 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 11 and Wednesday, April 12 to make repairs to girders on the I-70 bridge. All ramps will reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning. There are several other overnight ramp closures scheduled for this interchange as well.

Finally, work on northbound I-55 at Route Z in Jefferson County will close one lane of traffic starting on Friday, April 7 at 5 p.m. The lane will remain closed through Monday, April 10 at 5 a.m. This is one of several closures to rehab 21 bridges along I-55.

As the weather continues to warm up, MoDOT maintenance crews are out patching potholes, striping and sweeping roadways. Please watch out for these slow moving operations and move over and slow down for them.
