St. Louis Work Zones for February 9-15

ST. LOUIS – Drivers who use the Poplar Street Bridge to head into Illinois may want to consider other options next week as MoDOT crews inspect the eastbound Poplar Street Bridge next Monday and Tuesday.

Weather permitting, crews will close the ramp from northbound I-55/eastbound I-44 to the Poplar Street Bridge starting at 6 a.m. Monday February 13.  The ramp will reopen by 3 p.m. before the start of evening rush.

If necessary, crews will also close the ramp Tuesday, February 14, from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

To avoid the closure, drivers should consider using the Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge on I-70; I-255/I-270; or the Martin Luther King or Eads bridges in St. Louis City. The marked detour route will continue on eastbound I-44 to Washington Avenue, continue along Lumiere Place Boulevard and turn onto the Martin Luther King Bridge into Illinois.

If the work is canceled due to weather, it will be pushed to February 20 and 21.

For additional work zone information and real-time roadway weather conditions, go to http://traveler.modot.org/map.  For real time traffic, visit www.gatewayguide.com. All work is weather permitting and may be shifted due to inclement weather.
