The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will hold an open house style public meeting today to discuss potential solutions for improving I-270 in North St. Louis County. The meeting will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Hazelwood Civic Center East, 8969 Dunn Road, Hazelwood, Missouri 63042. There are no scheduled presentations, so the public is welcome to stop by at any time during the meeting to review the proposed solutions and provide feedback.
MoDOT is also hosting a virtual public meeting for those unable to attend the regular public meeting. The virtual public meeting will be available at http://www.i-270north.org/. From March 19 to April 1, 2014, visitors to the virtual public meeting will be able to watch videos outlining the proposed solutions and then give feedback. MoDOT will also host two online live chat sessions where visitors can talk with a study team member. These chat sessions will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., and on Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Those interested can participate in one of these live chat sessions by surfing to http://www.i-270north.org/.
These meetings are part of the I-270 North Environmental Assessment, the next step in addressing safety, mobility, congestion, accessibility and aging infrastructure on I-270, between the I-70 interchange on the west and the Chain of Rocks Bridge on the east.
