St. Louis Work Zones for February 27 to March 5

ST. LOUIS - The city of St. Louis will be closing several ramps along I-55 and I-64 on Saturday, March 1 for the annual Mardi Gras parade.

Parade organizers will close the ramp between northbound I-55 and 3200 Broadway, and northbound and southbound I-55 at 7th Street between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday. The ramps from eastbound I-64 to 6th Street will also be closed from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. They will close the ramps between northbound and southbound I-55 and Arsenal from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the ramp between northbound I-55 and Gravois from 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday.

In addition, organizers will close the ramp from westbound I-44 to Broadway on Tuesday from 6 to 10 p.m. for the Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday parade.

Throughout the week, motorists should be on the lookout for short duration work zones as crews continue to fill potholes around the region. As crews work to keep the roadway safer, please slow down or move over to give them room to work.

Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

  • I-44, St. Louis City, Walnut over I-70 is closed until April.
  • I-64, St. Louis City, the Vandeventer ramp to westbound I-64 is closed until spring 2014.
  • I-64, St. Louis City, the eastbound I-64 exit ramp to Vandeventer is closed until spring 2014.
  • I-64, St. Louis City, drivers have three shifted 10-foot lanes in both directions between Newstead and Boyle until summer 2014. The right lane of eastbound I-64 exits at Kingshighway.

Thursday, February 27

  • I-44, St. Louis City, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane closed eastbound and westbound at Walnut.
  • I-64, St. Charles County, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., one lane closed eastbound between Research Park and Chesterfield Airport Road.
  • Route W, Jefferson County, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., road closed for 15 minutes for blasting near Twin Rivers.
  • Route W, Jefferson County, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., flaggers will direct traffic through the work zone between Byrnesville Road and Route 109.

 

Friday, February 28

  • I-44, St. Louis City, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane closed eastbound and westbound at Walnut.
  • I-64, St. Charles County, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., one lane closed eastbound between Research Park and Chesterfield Airport Road.
  • Route W, Jefferson County, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., road closed for 15 minutes for blasting near Twin Rivers.
  • Route W, Jefferson County, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., flaggers will direct traffic through the work zone between Byrnesville Road and Route 109.

 

Saturday, March 1

  • I-44, St. Louis City, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane closed eastbound and westbound at Walnut.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., the ramps from northbound to 3200 Broadway, and northbound and southbound to 7th Street will be closed for the Mardi Gras parade.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m, the ramps from northbound and southbound to Arsenal will be closed for the Mardi Gras parade
  • I-55, St. Louis City, 1 to 8 p.m. the ramps from northbound to Gravois will be closed for the Mardi Gras parade.
  • I-64, St. Louis City, 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., the ramps from eastbound to 6th Street will be closed.

Sunday, March 2

  • I-44, St. Louis City, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane closed eastbound and westbound at Walnut.

 

Monday, March 3

  • I-44, St. Louis City, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane closed eastbound and westbound at Walnut.
  • I-64, St. Charles County, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., one lane closed eastbound between Research Park and Chesterfield Airport Road.
  • Route W, Jefferson County, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., road closed for 15 minutes for blasting near Twin Rivers.
  • Route W, Jefferson County, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., flaggers will direct traffic through the work zone between Byrnesville Road and Route 109.

 

 Tuesday, March 4

  • I-44, St. Louis City, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane closed eastbound and westbound at Walnut.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, 6 to 10 p.m., the ramp from westbound to Broadway will be closed
  • I-64, St. Charles County, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., one lane closed eastbound between Research Park and Chesterfield Airport Road.
  • Route W, Jefferson County, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., road closed for 15 minutes for blasting near Twin Rivers.
  • Route W, Jefferson County, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., flaggers will direct traffic through the work zone between Byrnesville Road and Route 109.

 

Wednesday, March 5
