MoDOT shifts traffic on westbound I-64 at Tower Grove Saturday

ST. LOUIS - The Missouri Department of Transportation and its contractor, Fred Weber Inc., will shift traffic on westbound I-64 at Tower Grove on Saturday, weather permitting.

Crews will close up to two lanes on westbound I-64 from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, August 10 between Tower Grove and Kingshighway.

When the lanes reopen, drivers will have three through lanes on westbound I-64, but those lanes will be split around a work zone. The two right lanes will be moved onto new pavement. The left lane will remain where it is, and crews will be working behind barriers in the middle of the interstate.

Westbound drivers heading to Kinghighway or the hospital will need to stay in the right two lanes. Drivers will not be able to cross over from the left lane to the Kingshighway exit.

All three westbound through lanes will remain open weekdays from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. At least one westbound  lane will remain open evenings and weekends.
