St. Louis Work Zones for June 6-12
Crews close multiple lanes on I-170 south of the airport

ST. LOUIS - Construction activities will close lanes on Interstate 170, Interstate 64 and Interstate 70 in St. Louis this weekend.  Motorists are also advised to check the Traveler Information Map for closed roads due to area river flooding, www.modot.org/tim.  Route 67 from the Clark Bridge to the Lewis Bridge is open with one lane each direction using what is typically the northbound Route 67 side of the highway.  Motorists are advised to slow down through this section with traffic running head to head.

Construction crews will close several lanes and parts of a ramp on southbound I-170 at Route 180 (St. Charles Rock Road) this weekend to continue preventative maintenance on an interstate bridge.

Two lanes of southbound I-170 at St. Charles Rock Road will close at 9 p.m. Friday, June 7.  One of the left turn lanes on the ramp from southbound I-170 to eastbound St. Charles Rock Road will also be closed.  All closed lanes are scheduled to be open by 5 a.m. Monday.

On Friday, June 7, two lanes will be closed on eastbound I-64 starting at 8 p.m. until 9 a.m. Saturday morning.  Construction crews will be placing the girders for the new Jefferson Avenue bridge over I-64. While crews are moving girders, they will close I-64 for up to 15 minutes for safety until the girder has been secured.

Also in the City of St. Louis, MoDOT will have lanes closed on eastbound I-70 from 7 p.m. Friday, June 7 until noon Saturday, June 8 from Washington to St. Louis Ave.  One lane will be closed from 5:30 a.m. until noon on eastbound I-70 from St. Louis Avenue through the depressed section to the Poplar Street Bridge.

The ramp from westbound Interstate 70 to southbound Fifth Street will be closed starting at 8 p.m. Monday, June 10 until Monday, July 1 for bridge repair work.  The westbound I-70 bridge over Fifth Street is being rehabilitated and resurfaced as part of the westbound I-70 Blanchette Missouri River Bridge project.  Three lanes of westbound I-70 will remain open and the ramp from westbound I-70 to northbound Fifth Street will remain open during these three weeks.  However  on Monday, June 10, crews will close one lane of westbound I-70 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Tuesday morning to set up the work zone and close the ramp to southbound Fifth Street.  Only two lanes will be open to traffic on westbound I-70 overnight Monday, June 10.  Three lanes will be back open for I-70 traffic by 5 a.m. Tuesday.

For additional work zone information, go to http://www.modot.org/ . For real time traffic, visit http://www.gatewayguide.com/ . All work is weather permitting and may be shifted due to inclement weather.
