St. Louis Work Zones for April 25-May 1
Exit Closed Westbound I-64 to Long Road for Two Weeks

ST. LOUIS - MoDOT's bridge maintenance crews will be closing the exit ramp from westbound I-64 to Long Road beginning Monday, April 29 at 9 a.m..  This ramp goes over I-64 as part of the exit ramp.  It will be closed for approximately two weeks.  To detour around this closure, motorists traveling westbound I-64 can exit at Spirit Boulevard and take Chesterfield Airport Road to Long Road.  The entrance ramp from Long Road to eastbound I-64 will remain open while the bridge work is being completed on the westbound exit ramp.

In St. Louis County, blasting operations on southbound I-270 near Big Bend is scheduled weekdays at 1 p.m., and will continue weekly, weather permitting.  Both directions of I-270 will have a rolling closure and potential stopped traffic for approximately 15 minutes.

Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

• I-64, St. Louis City, ramp from Pine Street to westbound I-64 closed until August 2013.

• I-64, St. Louis City, ramp from Ewing to eastbound I-64 closed until August 2013.

• Jefferson Avenue Bridge, St. Louis City, closed over I-64 until August 2013.

• I-64, St. Louis City, the Vandeventer ramp to westbound I-64 is closed until late 2013.

• I-64, St. Louis City, drivers in both directions have three shifted, 10-foot lanes between Kingshighway and Vandeventer until November 2013. The rightmost lane of eastbound I-64 exits at Hampton.

• Wellington, St. Louis City, the Wellington bridge closed over the River Des Peres until late May 2013. Detour to Jamieson Avenue bridge.

• I-64, St. Louis County, beginning 9 a.m. Monday, April 29 for two weeks, westbound exit to Long Road closed.

• I-270, St. Louis County, all northbound and southbound lanes closed from I-44 to Manchester Road for up to 15 minutes at 1 p.m. on weekdays through May 2013.

• I-70, (westbound section of the Interstate 70 Blanchette bridge over the Missouri River) remains closed until fall 2013. The eastbound I-70 bridge has three lanes of traffic in each direction. The ramp from northbound 5th Street to eastbound I-70 is closed until fall 2013.

• I-70, St. Charles County, loop ramps from Mid Rivers Mall Drive to eastbound and westbound I-70 remain closed until fall 2013.

• I-70, St. Charles County, far right lane westbound closed from Route 370 to the Mid Rivers Mall Drive exit until fall 2013.

• I-70, St. Charles County, right lane closed westbound between Mid Rivers Mall Drive and Route 79 until August 2013.

• I-44, St. Louis County, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., two eastbound lanes closed eastbound at Lindbergh.

  • I-70, St. Charles County, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., one lane closed eastbound at Route 79 and the ramp from northbound Salt Lick Road (Route 79) to eastbound I-70 closed.
  • I-55, Jefferson County, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., southbound lane closed at Route 67.

• I-55, Jefferson County, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., shoulder work on northbound and southbound between Route Z and Route M.
