MoDOT Postpones Westbound I-44 Entrance Ramp Closure at Elm to July 30

ST. LOUIS - The Missouri Department of Transportation has postponed the the westbound I-44 entrance ramp closure at Elm Avenue in Webster Groves to Monday, July 30. There are a few areas near this ramp that need further engineering work completed to prepare for the ramp closure. MoDOT will keep motorists informed of the exact date and time of this ramp closure as more details are confirmed.

This westbound I-44 entrance ramp is expected to close for approximately six weeks, weather permitting. The retaining wall has deteriorated to the point crews need to replace it while ensuring the safety of motorists. The retaining wall is located close to the edge of the pavement within the acceleration lane of the entrance ramp. Motorists needing access to westbound I-44 can detour to Big Bend Boulevard. There will be changeable message boards directing motorists to Big Bend. However, motorists are also urged to use Watson Road to access westbound I-44.
