St. Louis Regional Work Zones for September 29- October 5
Eastbound I-64 between Jefferson and the Poplar Street Bridge closed this weekend

     ST. LOUIS - In the city of St. Louis this weekend, eastbound I-64 will be closed from Jefferson to the Poplar Street bridge. The interstate closes at 8 p.m. Friday for roadway and bridge work. Eastbound I-64 will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday.

Two left lanes of eastbound and westbound Poplar Street bridge will also be closed starting at 8 p.m. Friday. The eastbound lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, and the westbound lanes will reopen by 3 a.m. Monday.

The I-70 reversible lanes during off peak hours Thursday and Friday during the day and overnight. Starting at 9 a.m. Monday morning, the reversible lanes will be closed until mid November as part of the ongoing new Mississippi River bridge construction.

In North St. Louis County, several lanes of westbound I-270 between Lindbergh and I-170 will be closed this weekend for bridge repairs. Up to two lanes will be closed starting late Friday night. During the day Saturday and Sunday, only one lane in both directions will be closed. The lane closures are expected to end by 5 a.m. Monday.

Bridge repair work will also take place this weekend on both southbound and northbound I-170 in North St. Louis.

One lane on southbound I-170 will be closed at the railroad bridge near Hanley from 8:30 p.m. Friday until 5:30 a.m. Monday. The ramp from Hanley at Frost to southbound 170 will also be closed during this same time.

One northbound lane on I-170 at the airport will be closed from 8:30 p.m. Friday until 5:30 a.m. Monday for bridge repairs. The ramp from northbound 170 to Frost will also be closed during these same weekend hours.

In St. Charles County, up to two lanes of westbound I-70 between Route Z and Lake St. Louis Boulevard will be closed for pavement repairs. The closures will occur on Thursday, September 29, and then next week from October 3 thru October 5. One lane will close at 9 p.m., and a second lane will close at 11 p.m. The lanes are expected to reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning.

Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

  • I-64, St. Louis City, eastbound 11th Street exit ramp closed weekdays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • I-64, St. Louis City, right lane at Chestnut closed starting September 26 until mid October.
  • Grand Blvd, St. Louis City, closed from I-64 to Chouteau by St. Louis City until mid 2012.
  • Route 370, St. Louis County, narrowed exit lane from northbound Earth City Expressway to westbound Route 370.
  • Route D, St. Charles County, westbound Route D will be closed from Route 94 to Wildlife Lane near Route DD until September 30.
  • Route D, St. Charles County, eastbound Route D will be closed from Route 94 to Route DD October 3 to October 14.
  • Route B, St. Charles County, Route B will be closed at Dardenne Creek until October 4 to replace the bridge driving surface.
