ST. LOUIS - The Missouri Department of Transportation will close westbound I-64/Route 40 between Long Road in St. Louis County and Route 94 in St. Charles County to conduct its annual Boone Bridge inspection on Saturday, Aug. 15 and Sunday, Aug. 16. Crews will close the road at 5:30 a.m. Aug. 15 and keep it closed until after 9 p.m. Aug. 16. During this time, crews will also close both the entrance ramp from Chesterfield Airport Road to westbound I-64/Route 40 and the entrance ramp from Boone's Crossing to westbound I-64/Route 40. All work is weather permitting.
The closure is to allow bridge inspection crews to complete the annual Boone Bridge inspection. The signed detour for this closure is to take eastbound I-64/Route 40 to eastbound (northbound) I-270 and then take I-270 to westbound I-70.
